I received a call last month from an agent in Rancho Cordova, a suburb of Sacramento, California, who said he was having good success with AgentInsider™ leads, but just wasn’t getting enough of them. Calls like these are common — and easily resolved.
Like many accounts I review, I found that this agent had targeted only the ZIP Codes in his immediate area. In this agent’s case, the two ZIP Codes in Rancho Cordova were selected. We were sending him about 15 preferred auto leads per month, and another 4 homeowners leads per month. With less than one lead per day, he wasn’t able to maximize the potential of the AgentInsider™ program. I challenged him to expand his territory by selecting more ZIP Codes outside of his immediate area. We looked at increasing his target geography area to five miles, but that did not add enough lead volume for him. We then opened it up to a ten mile radius and targeted 23 ZIP Codes. With this change, his potential lead volume increased to approximately 200 auto leads and 30 home leads per month, or about 11 leads per business day. That volume was more than he felt he could manage, however, and wanted a maximum of 4 auto leads per day and 2 home leads per day. That’s not a problem with AgentInsider™. Using the system, he placed a daily maximum on the number of leads he wanted to receive per day. With these simple changes in place, he is now assured a steady and predictable flow of leads without the risk of paying for more than he can handle. And even better, he can slow down or speed up his lead flow at any time, as many times as he’d like.
After 2 weeks, I called to follow-up with the agent. As I expected, the changes to his account were making a huge difference for him. He was so pleased with the results! He is now receiving enough AgentInsider™ lead volume to keep him busy and help him reach his 2007 production goals.
So my advice is simple… If you are getting all of the leads available in the ZIP Codes you currently have selected, but you want more, just increase the number of ZIP Codes you are targeting – then select the daily maximum number of leads you want to receive to ensure that you don’t get too many.
