Q: How does the program work? A: This important marketing tool allows consumers to find you,fast and easy. Consumers simply submit their ZIP Code and are instantly shown a list of insurance agents in their area. Unlike other online directories that show the consumer hundreds or thousands of insurance agents, the Agent Directory will show the consumer only 8 local insurance agents in his/her area and will be limited to 1 agent per carrier affiliation. Just subscribe to one or more eligible ZIP Codes, and your listing can quickly get started.
Q: How is InsWeb® attracting consumers to Agent Directory? A: InsWeb® attracts thousands of motivated insurance shoppers to Agent Directory every day. Consumers reach your listings from the major search engines, extensive banner ad placement, and by visiting InsWeb.com®.
Q: How do I register for Agent Directory?
A: If you have an existing AgentInsider® account, simply log into your account and click on the "Agent Directory" tab near the top of the page. Then click on the "Subscribe Today " button and complete your registration by confirming your contact information, selecting your ZIP Codes, and providing credit card information if it is different than the credit card used for the Lead Program. Your listing will then be reviewed and approved within a few business days.
To create a new account, click on the "Register Today " button on the AgentInsider® homepage. Then select "Agent Directory" when you register, followed by your contact information. Using your office ZIP Code, we will provide you with a list of ZIP Codes that fall within 25 miles of your office. You can select any or all of them, as space permits. We will also require you to provide your state license number(s) and credit card information. After you submit your registration, you will be given a secure Agent ID and Password. This will give you access to the system to check on the status of your listings, edit your listings, and view the reporting. Your listing will be reviewed and approved within a few business days.
Q: Is there a long-term commitment required to participate in Agent Directory?
A: No, there is no long-term commitment required to participate in Agent Directory. You can choose a monthly subscription plan, or a long-term subscription plan at a discounted price. See the Agent Directory Pricing page to review your subscription options in more detail.
Q: How many agents are allowed to sign up for each ZIP Code?
A: Only one agent per carrier affiliation will be permitted to sign up per ZIP Code, and up to 8 local agents with various carrier affiliations will be shown to the consumer. We allow more than one independent agent to sign up for a ZIP Code. We do this because independent agents can often offer the consumer a different set of policy options than another independent agent.
Q: How many local agents will be shown to the consumer on the Agent Directory?
A: Up to 8 local agent listings will be shown to the consumer when they search for insurance agents in their area. Only 1 agent per carrier affiliation will be displayed.
Q: In what order are the agents listed in Agent Directory?
A: Agents are listed in Agent Directory by the distance to the consumer. The agents closest to the consumer will be listed first, regardless of carrier affiliation.
Q: Why is my listing showing in ZIP Codes I did not select?
A: Our goal is to provide a full offering of insurance providers to each consumer who visits the Agent Directory in search of local insurance agents. In areas where we do not have a full offering of agents who have locked in a consumer's ZIP code, we may list other Agent Directory participants from surrounding ZIP codes at no additional cost to them. This means that as long as you have an approved account with at least one ZIP Code selected, you may be displayed in ZIP Codes near you that you did not select. Keep in mind, however, that you will immediately stop being displayed if an agent from your carrier affiliation locks in that consumer's ZIP Code or if there is another agent from your affiliation that is closer to that consumer. It's best to identify and lock in all of the ZIP Codes that you want to target to ensure that your listing is being displayed in the areas most important to you.
Q: How many ZIP Codes can I sign up for?
A: Eligible ZIP Codes are determined by conducting a 25 mile radius search around your office location ZIP Code. If the radius search includes any part of a ZIP Code, then that ZIP Code is available for you. You may select any or all eligible ZIP Codes, as space permits. One agent per carrier affiliation will be permitted to sign up per ZIP Code.
Q: Why are some ZIP Codes unavailable for me to select?
A: Either the ZIP Code is not included in the 25 mile ZIP Code radius of your office, or another agent from your same carrier affiliation has already selected the ZIP Code. Remember that only one agent per carrier affiliation will be permitted to sign up per ZIP Code. If the ZIP Code is unavailable to you, you will see a “Sold Out” notification.
Q: How much does each ZIP Code cost? A: The cost of each ZIP Code depends on the Subscription Plan that you are participating in. Our Subscription Plans are affordable and competitively priced. We offer three flexible, auto-renewing plans:

*6 and 12 Month Subscription Plan payments are made in advance for the complete subscription term. Your Subscription Plan will be automatically renewed unless updated before the end of the current term.
Q: How does the billing work?
A: During registration, you will provide us with your credit card, which will be used for billing purposes. Billing will vary based on the Subscription Plan that you are participating in.
Monthly: If you are participating in a Monthly Subscription Plan, ZIP Codes are priced at $10 each per month. Your credit card will be billed at the beginning of each month for each ZIP Code that you have selected.
6-Month: If you are participating in a 6-Month Subscription Plan, ZIP Codes are priced at $8.50 each per month. Your credit card will be billed at the beginning of the Subscription Plan for the full cost and term of the selected Subscription Plan.
12-Month: If you are participating in a 12-Month Subscription Plan, ZIP Codes are priced at $7.00 each per month. Your credit card will be billed at the beginning of the Subscription Plan for the full cost and term of the selected Subscription Plan.
Your Subscription Plan will be automatically renewed unless updated before the end of the current term. You can update your Subscription Plan at any time during the current term, which will be effective at your subscription plan renewal date. Your listings will continue to be displayed until the end of the current subscription term. If you decide to cancel your Subscription Plan, your must do so before the 25th of the last month of the current subscription term so that you aren't charged for the following term. Keep in mind, though, that the ZIP Codes you de-activate will be released into the general pool for other same-carrier agents to select. There is no guarantee that those ZIP Codes will be available again in the future.
Q: How do Subscription Plans work?
A: During registration, you select the Subscription Plan that you would like to participate in. The Subscription Plan that you choose will apply to all the ZIP Codes that you select during registration or add to your account at a later date. Your Subscription Plan will be automatically renewed unless updated before the end of the current term. You can update your Subscription Plan at any time during the current term, which will be effective at your subscription plan renewal date.
Q: What do I need to do to activate or de-activate one or more of my eligible ZIP Codes?
A: Once you have an account, you will need to login to your account to activate or de-activate ZIP Codes. Once in your account, click on the Agent Directory tab, then select the “Update ZIP Codes” link. You can make changes to your account at any time. ZIP Codes that you add to an existing Subscription Plan will be effective immediately. ZIP Codes that you de-select will be effective at the beginning of the next Subscription Plan.
Q: How do I know when sold-out ZIP Codes become available?
A: We do not currently maintain waiting lists for ZIP Codes. To determine if a ZIP Code is available at a later time, you will need to log into your account and select the "Agent Directory" tab. The system will indicate the status of each ZIP Code and if space is available.
Q: Will I be able to see how many consumers see my Agent Directory listings?
A: Yes. In the AgentInsider® reporting system, you will be able to see how many total page views were shown per eligible ZIP Code as well as your individual page views.
