Tips for Overcoming Holiday Lead Volume Seasonality

As all of us know, the last weeks of the year are the insurance industry's slowest time for new business acquisition. Quite simply, it's the holiday season. During this time of year, consumers tend to focus more on the best holiday sales than on insurance, decreasing the overall leads available.

The change in season also signals the time when agents try to ramp up their business to meet yearly goals. To help you overcome the seasonal slowdown, here are some tips from AgentInsider® to help you meet your year-end goals.

Try New Lead Types
If you currently receive only auto or term life insurance leads, try renters leads, home leads, health leads, or business leads. Test these lead types to find out what works for you. You might find that one insurance lead type provides you with a higher ROI than others, or that cross-selling from one policy to another is easier with certain lead types.

Target More ZIP Codes To Maintain or Increase Lead Volume
Ensure your volume of leads is unaffected by the upcoming season. New business is harder to come by as the end of the year approaches.

Consider adding ZIP Codes from neighboring areas where your product is competitive. Expanding into additional ZIP Codes is quick and easy with AgentInsider®. We can help you identify ZIP Codes in your area that will give you the quantity of leads you will need to maintain your lead volume until the end of the year.

Adjust Lead Volume Settings
How many insurance leads do you want each day? Do you want to ensure that every insurance shopper in your target market receives a quote from you?

Many agents who participate in the AgentInsider® Lead Program do not receive all of the leads in their selected ZIP Codes because of their Daily Maximum settings for lead volume.

When you want to expand into new ZIP Codes or want to receive more leads, remember, you have complete control of your account. With Carrier Exclusivity, you lock in the ZIP Codes that are most important to you and are the only agent from your carrier affiliation to receive all the leads in your target market. Or, you can simply select your desired ZIP Codes, set your daily lead volume maximum, and rotate for leads with same-carrier agents. Another option is to choose both – rotate for leads in some ZIP Codes and choose Carrier Exclusivity for others.
