Best Practices for Setting Up Your AgentInsider Lead Program Account

AgentInsider® makes it easy for you to set-up and manage your Lead Program account online 24/7 via our insurance agent portal. Our Lead Program offers a great deal of flexibility and different options so that you can tailor your AgentInsider® experience to meet your marketing budget and needs.

Unfortunately, every now and then we run across accounts that are set-up in a way that doesn't maximize the potential of our program.

Here are some ways to ensure that you are getting the most out of your account.

Your Display Information

One of the first steps in setting up your account is to provide us with your contact information that will be displayed to consumers after they are matched with you. Make sure to provide us with a link to your website if you have one so that a consumer can find out more about you before your call. Also, be sure that your agency name reads the way you want it to and is properly capitalized. This is your first impression - make sure that it sends the right message.

ZIP Code Selections

Most problems here fall into one of two categories: Too few or too many.

What you should keep in mind is that you want to start with a small radius of ZIP Codes around your office and expand as necessary. So if you're only looking for a maximum of one lead per day, select just enough ZIP Codes around your office to ensure that you'll get one lead each day. If you're looking for ten leads a day, then you'll probably have to expand out farther from your office to ensure that enough leads are available each day to fill your pipeline.

Too often we see agents who are requesting up to ten leads a day in just their home ZIP Code, or we see agents looking for a maximum of one lead per day with every ZIP Code in the state selected. With the first situation, it's highly unlikely that the agent will get more than one or two leads every few days. In the latter case, the agent may get one lead that day from clear across the state and miss a lead that is available later in the day from their base ZIP Code.

Also, be sure that you select ZIP Codes in which you have a competitive product. If you're not trying to target college students, then be sure to avoid ZIP Codes that include college towns. If you want to avoid older consumers, then avoid retirement communities.

Daily Maximums

The AgentInsider® Lead Program puts you in full control over when leads are delivered and how many leads you get each day. Take advantage of these tools to ensure that you aren't getting leads when no one is available to work them or are getting more leads on those days when business is slow.

Lead Type Selections

Be sure to set-up your AgentInsider® Lead Program account such that you are only receiving leads from the categories for which you have a competitive product.
